Youths to reassess faith, build foundation during conference

THE National youth conference of the Lutheran Church is a good opportunity for the young people of the church to reassess their faith and build their foundation in Christ, says a church official.
Robert Martins, the youth director of the church, said the church has recently celebrated its 500 years of proclamation of the faith so the conference was an opportune time for young Lutherans to have a personal reflection on their faith.
Martins said more than 10,000 youths from the church’s 17 districts and mission areas would attend the event scheduled to take place from Dec 10-15 at the Lutheran Day High School in Kundiawa.
“This is the 18th youth conference the church will hold,” he said.
“It will be hosted by the Chimbu district.
“The theme of the conference is ‘Liberated by God’s Grace’ and is the same theme used in the 500 years celebration of the church.”
