‘Leader’s son kicked me in the eye’

A NON-governmental organisation leader has cried foul over his ill treatment after sustaining injuries to his left eye.
Philip Kepan, secretary for NGOs and Civil Society Coalition Partners Desk, said yesterday that he had been voicing his grievances against a prominent leader when the leader’s son allegedly heard and retaliated.
Mr Kepan, from Enga province, said his family was celebrating Christmas with a few drinks when he left the group and went to his driveway, sat down and started airing his grievances.
He said it was not long after that the leader’s son, who was a neighbour, confronted him and kicked him in the eye.
Mr Kepan claimed that he was unconscious for several minutes before he was rescued by his wife after noticing his absence from the party.
