‘Authorities must end tribal fights in SHP’

Highlands, Normal

SOUTHERN Highlands province community leaders want the  provincial authorities to see the damage caused by tribal fights.
They say Tari MP James Marape and SHP Governor Anderson Agiru must witness the problems first-hand to be able to address the problems effectively and restore peace and stability in the province.
The call was made by Hela peace committee chairman Mathew Mabiria, Highway 20 (Margarima to Komo) patrol commander John Sengiso and local businessman Ronney Baro.
The province only had 17 police to watch over 5,000 people, Mr Sengiso said.
