‘Education process must confront changes’

CRITICAL education is vital for the changing environment as it will help people to move from immature to critical attitudes, an educationist says.
Br Stephen Musya, from Vuna Bosco in East New Britain, said there were many changes happening and there was a need for the education processes to be geared towards confronting these changes.
“The one vital thing that education can contribute to the society is the critical conscience,” he said.
He said education was necessary to enable people to discuss their problems courageously and to warn them of the dangers of time while offering them confidence and strength to face the dangers.
He said it was necessary as it would help them to perceive themselves in the dialectical relationship with their social reality and help them assume a critical attitude towards the world and be able to transform it.
