‘Get on with the job’

Lae News, Normal

FORMER deputy prime minister, Gulf governor and now economic adviser to the Prime Minister Chris Haiveta has told provincial administrators to get on with the job of implementing the strategies contained in Papua New Guinea’s Vision 2050.
“It’s all set out clearly in the Vision so you don’t have to go and reinvent the wheel,” Mr Haiveta told the administrators at their workshop on the Vision 2050 in Lae.
He said the Vision was “very specific” about what the nation needs to achieve over the course of the national strategic plan.
Mr Haiveta said the public service must be effective in implementing the Vision and its strategies to move the nation forward.
He also said support must be given to the private sector which is the engine room of the economy to drive the nation’s economy forward.
