National Souths Basketball League patron and former Mendi MP Pastor Isaac Joseph (pictured) has endorsed Silas Nicky executive as legitimate to run the National South Basketball League (NSBL) tournament in September. With less than two months before the tip-off on September 12, Joseph said Nicky and his executive would take the lead to host the tournament.

Joseph, who was the brain behind success of the six-year old all-Souths Basketball club tournament, wants all stakeholders to work together for the benefit of the competition.

Those wishing to contest the election or hold position with the NSBL should contest in a proper AGM and not use the media to get public attention, he said.

“There is due process for election of new officials, and people claiming to be the officials must produce the resolution or the minutes of the election by National South Basketball League Annual General Meeting report.”

NSBL president Nicky thanked Joseph for resolving the matter,.

Nicky said the teams wishing to take part should pay their K500 registration fee.

He said those wishing to support the NSBL should contact him on 72681935, vice president David Peter 71146446 and treasurer Paul Pulako on 71080405,
