‘Yes, I have been to Gumine’

I refer to the letter “Come back to Gumine and see progress” (The National, Sept 10) by Wikauma Apal” who commented on my letter (Sept 3).
Yes, I was at Omkalai, Gumine station, Moremaule, Kariglmaril and all those places where the launch took place.
After assessing the project by MP Lukas Dekena, I concluded that they were overdue as I stated earlier.
The writer said that prominent citizens of Gumine are now working with Dekena.
Which particular prominent citizens is the writer really referring to?
The road and electricity works were upgrading as they were put in place by former MP Nick Kopia Kuman.
The roll-out of DSIP does not require any formula as it is an obligation of every MP to do that.
But if the writer thinks things are picking up and his/her life has completely changed overnight, that’s fine with me.
I travel to Gumine five to six times a year from Port Moresby to visit my parents and relatives.
I have no need for third party information through cell phones or mails as I was at the scene.
