12 teams in Ipatas Cup finals

TWELVE Gold Pass winners will  feature in the Ipatas Cup Challenge at the Lae Rugby League on Friday.
The two winners from each pool advance to the semi-finals on Sunday.
The Gold Pass winners who will play are Kamkumung Crushers, Bumbu Barbarians (Northern), Whitehaven Lagaip Brothers, Six-Mile Storms (Southern), GDH Brumbies (EHP), Sinesine Yongomugl Brothers (Simbu), KK Hawks (Jiwaka), Kui Raiders (WHP), Giluwe Tigers (SHP), Kopiago Strickland Raiders (Hela), A1 Brothers and Akap Knights (Enga).
Ipatas Cup organiser Timothy Lepa said the knockouts would be staged on Friday with all 12 teams to play in their respective pools known as Eastern and Western End.
The Eastern End teams are Bumbu Barbarians, Kamkumung Crushers, Whitehaven Lagaip Brothers, 6 Mile Storms, GDH Brumbies and Sinesine Yongomulg Brothers.
The Western End Teams are KK Hawks, Kui Raiders, Akap Knights, A1 Brothers, Giluwe Tigers and Kopiago Strickland Raiders.
The draws will be released at 10 am on Friday.
The first game is between the Akap Knights and Kopiago Strickland Raiders (Western), followed by Sinesine-Yongomugl Brothers–GDH Brumbies (Eastern), Kui Raiders–KK Hawks (Western), A1 Brothers–Giluwe Tigers (Western), Bumbu Barbarians–Six-Mile Storms (Eastern), Kamkumung Crushers–Whitehaven Lagaip Brothers (Eastern).
