1300 licences issued

East New Britain issued 1394 driver’s licences in the first quarter of this year.
A report from the province’s traffic registry office showed that most were renewals and only 15 per cent were new.
“Most of the unlicensed drivers and expired licences are detected during the roadblocks,” the report said. The registry office is appealing to drivers to renew expired licences.
