THE 2013 National Capital District Career Expo is all set for April 23-24 at the Sir John Guise Stadium indoor complex.

Organised by A3 Multimedia, over 20 companies are expected to take up booths at Sir John Guise Indoor Complex for students to move around freely to companies and collect information.

All high and secondary schools in National Capital District and Central – especially Grades 10, 11 and 12 students with students in universities, colleges, private institutions, recent graduates and job seekers – are invited to attend.

A3 Multimedia general manager Axie Akinuwec said on the first day, it will exclusively be for all primary and secondary school students who will come in to find out about what they do and what kind of jobs are offered by each participating company.

“In turn, the companies and organisations will explain to students the nature of business they are engaged in and what type of personnel they employ.

“Most importantly they will explain to students the qualification and academic grades they must attain in order to get these types of job.

“Each company will set up their booths with posters, banners and leaflets on the day for any general answer question sessions.”

On the second day, it will be for current tertiary students from the universities, colleges and most recent graduates.

He said most of the tertiary students will have graduated by this time of the year and will be looking for career opportunities.

“The expo will give them an opportunity to make a choice for their future.”

The Career Expo complements the O’Neill government’s Free Education policy and the Vision 2050 on Human Resource Development, Akinuwec said.
