2017 was a great year

Letters

IF there had been a trophy for an exciting year, 2017 is a definite nominee for the Oscars.
It was a year full of drama and excitement.
Many individuals had their own experiences but it’s their relative collective experience with the main political and economic streams that makes 2017 a year to remember.
The year 2017 was largely received with both suspicion and contempt. This was thanks but no thanks to anti-government Facebook pages for spreading well-articulated lies and misinformation about the state of affairs.
Many anti-government rebels laid misinformation virtual mines to mislead the unsuspecting public.
The result was impressive.
Despite reinventing their limited genuine ammo to expand their virtual territory, it was obvious that they failed to convince the country who their enemy was.
It was a battle that lost its spirit as those fighting it up front realised they couldn’t conquer the country.
As we embrace 2018, we must rest assured that the country is in great hands.
We must not live in the negative mindset but continue to contribute in positive ways to make PNG a great country to live in.
