TWENTY-three participants from the Prime Minister’s Department and the National Executive Council have completed a two-week personal viability training.
The training was aimed at equipping the public service before the launch of the 40-year National Strategic Plan (NSP) at the end of this month.
Governor-General Sir Paulias Matane was at the Crowne Plaza yesterday to address the participants and give them their certificates.
Sir Paulias encouraged them to hold on to what had been taught, to not be afraid of criticisms or making mistakes, but to be proud of being Papua New Guineans and to overcome obstacles to achieve their goals.
“The time has come for ideological mobilisation, and these privileged graduates are equipped to mobilise this nation into prosperity,” he said.
The course was conducted by Entrepreneurial Development Training Centre, a home-grown entity owned by Samuel Tam, who is the master trainer.
Some of the course participants were secretary of Prime Minister’s Department Margaret Elias and deputy chairman of the NSP Daniel Kapi and others.
