Thirty youths from Bulolo, Morobe, will undergo community health worker training (CHW) in Rigo, Central.
They arrived from Lae on Saturday and were taken up to Kwikila station in Rigo by their MP Sam Basil to the new Kwikila Training Institute where they would be trained as CHWs.
Morobe health adviser Micah Yawing accompanied the students.
The students were welcomed by Rigo MP Lekwa Gure and district chief executive officer Koru Abe.
Basil said the rural population was growing and accessing health facilities was becoming increasingly difficult.
