A 30-year-old father of two from Enga is among the 69 Grade 8 students who graduated from Avi Nazerene Primary School, in Jiwaka’s Anglimp district.
Receiving his certificate, Alois David said age did not have any limit on education and he was happy to graduate with his class.
He said he left school after Grade 10 at Wabag High School in 1985 and went to stay in the village.
David said seeing students graduate every year and further their studies to get good jobs and live a good life motivated him to return to the classroom and enrol in Grade 8 this year.
“Today everything is money and to earn it needs educated people … villagers do not have any place so that made me to go to school in order to get good education,” David said.
