MOVIE goers in Port Moresby can now experience a 3D (three dimensional) film following the official launch of the Paradise Cinema yesterday.
Situated on the third floor of Port Moresby’s Vision City megamall, Paradise Cinema is a business partnership of three companies – City Pharmacy Ltd, PNG FM and Fiji’s Damodar Group.
Paradise Cinema general manager Margaret Raiwong said the idea of having the cinema was based on a family oriented environment.
“It’s no longer about just the dad and mum going out to a pub but this time the whole family with the children can actually go out together for a movie.”
The cinema will showcase over 15 screenings in a single day, offering patrons with unprecedented flexibility in choice of film titles and show timings.
Paradise Cinema has stunning interior features, state-of-the-art audio and visual technology and three cinemas installed to guarantee a world-class movie experience.
“Paradise Cinema strongly believes in bringing together international as wells as local flavours.
“The cinema has been carefully crafted, keeping in mind local sentiments and requirements.
“The best international audio and video technologies have been coupled with comfortable wide legroom to serve Papua New Guinea with the best cinema in town.”
Raiwong said the public turnout since the soft opening on Thursday has been overwhelming and they expected an increase in numbers.
She added that the management reserved the right to restrict entry into the cinema premises for failure to comply with the rules.
Tickets sell at K25 for the two standard cinemas and K45 for the Premium Lounge cinema.
