50% free education is petty politics

While I appreciate the proposal to implement 50% free education policy by the government, I doubt its true motives.
If the government was sincere, it would have introduced this a long time ago.
Why is it being bandied around when the election is less than a year away?
Please, we have had enough. Papua New Guineans are not stupid and can see through this ruse.
The government came to us crying for mandate and we did that.
We played our part but the government failed to play its part of the bargain.
So please do the right thing.
