804 Fode students to receive books

EIGHT-hundred-and-four flexible open and distance education (Fode) students of Oksapmin Secondary School in Telefomin, West Sepik, are expected to receive their resource books, exercise books, mathematics sets and stationery this week.
Principal Anthony Rayappan said Fode had the home learning Covid-19 relief package kits to selected remote areas, including Telefomin (West Sepik), Kiunga (Western), Lae (Morobe) and Madang.
“There are three different learning packages and electronic tablet being delivered,” he said.
“We printed 500 copies of course materials for grades nine and 10 to be given to students for free.
“The second package are 1,200 tablets, also to be given away free to students.
“The third package are stationery, exercise books, mathematics sets and others for students to use at home.
“About 3,200 students are going to benefit from this bag pack.”
Rayappan said packages would be distributed to students from grades nine to 12.
“Fode is not going to end and stop here,” he said. “We want to attract more students, including children with special needs.”
