Accept city’s ranking, work to improve things

Letters

I AGREE with the Economic Intelligence Unit’s ranking of Port Moresby as the third least liveable city in the world.
We still have a lot of work to do.
Do not complain about that ranking because they ranked us accordingly.
Accept this as a challenge and let us work hard and prove them wrong.
This is a call to all of us to work together and make our capital city and other centres in the country better places to live in.
We have a problem with management and our attitudes and that should be rectified at all levels.
That must change if we want to get better.
We need a consistent and stable system.
Consistency and stability provides hope in achieving development goals and this is what we, as a young developing nation, need most.

  • We must accept the ranking because we all, as residents of Port Moresby contributed to the overall ranking of the city one way or another by our attitude, conducts, actions or inactions, etc..
