Accident in city leaves one dead
A WOMAN died and several others were injured in a traffic accident in Gerehu, Port Moresby, yesterday.
A police officer, who did not wish to be named, said a PMV bus was travelling from Tete settlement with passengers to the main bus stop at stage two when it was involved in a collision with a delivery truck between 6.30am and 7am.
The officer said the bus was approaching the roundabout near the Mosin Plaza store and PNG Power compound when the truck travelling in collided with it.
The officer said a woman died in the accident while several others were injured.

Time to introduce proper transport bus.
It’s time the land transport department put up all the road signs, speed limts,crossings, footpaths and, check driver’s licenses to make sure its valid and impose tougher penalties to those breaking the laws.
