Address hygiene conditions

Letters

THIS is a concern for parents in the city regarding the announcement by the state of emergency (SOE) controller for schools to commence week Monday.
The most likely area to be exposed to Covid-19 is the public transport where there is no duty of care on public safety practices.
This has always been the case even before the Covid-19.
PMV operators in the city do not consider the safety guidelines set up by the Covid-19 Task Force.
They focus on making quick money.
The Covid-19 virus is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks.
These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air. They quickly fall on floors or surfaces.
You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within one metre of a person who has Covid-19 or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth before washing your hands. The Government, the National Capital District and the SOE controller should address the safety measures before school starts.
Failure on this path, parents won’t risk sending their children to school come May 4.

  • I’m agreed with this statement because we don’t even observed any kind of symptoms on any child especially students and we need tougher precautions to take when considering public transportations which is our main means of moving from one place to another.
