Address issues with elections

Letters

GOING to elections every five years to elect a leader of our choice is our right.
But the failures and the denials of the previous elections keep haunting us.
Elections in the Highlands have never been free and fair and according to observations, the Electoral Commission does not have the capacity to counter voter intimidation, double voting, underage voting, ghosts names on the common roll, eligible voters’ names missing from the common roll, bribery of election officials and the fights that follow.
Are we going to see improvement in next year’s general election?
