Address law, order issues in province

Letters

LEADERS in Southern Highlands should address serious law and order issues and get the province in order before going into next year’s general elections.
The province has been facing a lot of issues like the 2017 election-related violence, earthquake, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and, now, the recent roadblock at Mt Ambua, which is becoming an issue with the people of Hela.
Southern Highlands needs the leadership to address all these issues before people can participate in the elections.
Provincial police commander Chief Supt Martin Lakari has done his best to maintain law and order in the province.
The provincial administration needs to come down and figure out what is exactly happening in the province.
The stand-by generator at the Buiebi jail is out of service and that is putting the lives of the Correctional Services personnel and their families at risk.
At the moment, most of the business are operating with fear because of the law and order issues.
This is affecting the little people back at home and leaders must not turn a blind eye.
Southern Highlands needs the presence of leaders, including the provincial administrator Jerry David to work along with the authorities on the ground.
