Address official’s harassment issue

IT is encouraging to note that a parliamentary committee is serious about addressing the prevalent gender-based violence (GBV) in our country.
Perhaps, they should be interested to summon those in responsible positions to explain why they have individually and collectively turned a blind eye on a widely-reported case of alleged sexual harassment committed by a department head on several married women at the workplace is allowed to serve out the balance of his entire contract of employment of three years under suspension.
It does not seem right if such matters are not addressed transparently to set right precedents.
