Address rise in petty crimes

Letters

PORT Moresby has gone to the dogs.
It is no longer safe for city commuters, students and the vulnerable people to move around.
Hundreds of people have fallen victims to thugs.
Petty crimes are getting from bad to worse.
The worst places where petty crime happens every day are Boroko, Tabari Place, the two bus stops at 4-Mile, Gordon bus stop and the Erima flyover and its surrounding areas.
Countless demands made to National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop and NCD Commission to address this issue seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
I hope this letter gets the authority to set up police posts at all crime-infested locations and have auxiliary policemen stationed there from 6am to 6pm.
This should help to restore the city’s good image.
