Admiralty confirm withdrawal, says PNGFA

Admiralty Peliau yesterday confirmed that they would not compete in the National Soccer League this year, as the franchise owner — the Manus government — had decided not to renew its sponsorship, according to the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA).
The news comes days after Madang FC confirmed that they would not participate in the semi-professional competition this season.
Meanwhile, the deadline for expressions of interest is today, with the season set to kick off on Jan 26 in the Southern and the Northern (Mamose) conferences.
The New Guinea Islands and the Highlands conferences are expected to start a week later, according to PNGFA.
