Members of the Enga Adventist Students Association (EASA) in Port Moresby are raising funds for their convention at the end of the year.
Association vice-president Brian Kambia, said that Enga Adventist students from the University of Papua New Guinea’s medical faculty and Waigani main campus are raising
funds for their annual convention.
“We have come together, putting our efforts together to come and sell drinks and raising funds for the convention,” Kambia said.
Secretary Raywin Maso said the target was between K2000 and K5000.
She said the money will be used on the members in Port Moresby attending the convention at Kandep in Enga.
Kambia said: “The Enga Adventist Students Association is a group which keeps us in church.
“We try to keep ourselves in the church instead of going out
and looking for earthly pleasures.”
The convention is held at the end of every year at different locations in Enga.
Apart from the convention the PNG Adventist Tertiary Students’ Association will host its national convention at the end of the year in Tari, Hela.
“We have invited international Adventist speakers to our PNGATSA convention and they’ve accepted our invitation,” Kambia said.
