BANKS in PNG must be responsible for driving education and accessibility when it comes to digital banking, a Kina Bank official says.
Executive general manager banking Lesieli Taviri said this in Port Moresby yesterday as the bank announced a new website for its digital banking.
She said this area of the industry was growing because of its convenience and speed of access.
“People needed to be taken along the journey with the adoption of technology, so they feel comfortable and well-serviced by it,” she said.
Taviri said as PNG’s leading digital bank, Kina Bank took seriously the need to usher customers and potential customers into the digital age.
She said Kina offered a range of products and services on its new website, including personal and business loans as well as market-leading savings products.
“It also now allows people the opportunity to learn about and explore opportunities on the stock market as well as track its daily movements,” Taviri said. “This amounts to a new level of user-friendly accessibility.”
“Customers can also lodge online loan enquiries through the website which will result in a personal response from a lending specialist,” she said.
