AFTER Dark face Snipers in the fourth round of the National Capital District women’s premier division competition this weekend at the Taurama Leisure Centre.
The Fashion Designer’s strength lie in their attack with Gomara Kone and Sose Moses, who have found their form and are proving dangerous on the court as they continue to punish their opponents.
Grace Baker and Vicky Jason will be restricting their opponents at the net with formidable blocks but will also be counting on Nao Kone and setter Vane Vagi for set plays to bombard their opponents.
They are looking strong early in the season.
However, Snipers, who also have a solid line-up, cannot be under-estimated. They will be led by experienced hitter/blocker Noeleen Gima with support from hitters Miti Bernard, Nancy Alu, Emma Sarufa and Cecilia Sarufa and Rosemary Sarufa.
Their attack will be organisd by setter Gima Garo.
On paper, After Dark are looking strong but it will boil down to their performance on the day which should determine the outcome.
In the other matches, Vailima will meet U-Mi Yet, MRA should step up against Scorpions, Gulf East Timbers will take on Ela Motors and United are tipped over Pom Tech.
In the men’s division, Ela Motors are in high spirits after last weekend’s encounter when take on Scorpions, Snipers should overcome Gulf East Timbers, Rinos meet After Dark and the match between Vailima and U-Mi Yet should be a thriller.
