Against state advice

INTEROIL, the project developer, is doing everything against the advice from the office of the state solicitor and the department of petroleum and energy to work with the identified landowners in Baimuru district, Gulf.
It was told in writing by the state solicitor to take a “judicial note” of this, last year and in 2009.
A certain Gulf politician is pushing proposals for pipeline and other so-called hardware part of the project to a certain Gulf district without the consent of Baimuru district LLG and the landowners, raising frustrations among Baimuru district people.
We are writing to warn the government that such practice is harmful for the project and may put national security at risk.
