TEAM Papua New Guinea men’s singles amputee player Haoda Agari lost the gold medal para-sports table tennis play-off to New Caledonia’s Avelino Monteiro last night.
In the women’s singles, New Caledonia’s Delohine Andre beat Vanuatu Mali Ramel 3-2.
Team PNG manager Arvn Rao said the overall performance of Agari and the rest of the team was good.
“For every Pacific Games they have para-event. But for this Games, there are less competitors and we wanted to develop this more athletes.”
