SOUTHERN Highlands Governor Anderson Agiru raised two important issues in parliament last week.
The first point he raised is forest and fish resources to be reserved for future generations.
He acknowledged the country needed money but he believed the proceeds from LNG are sufficient to sustain and support the economy.
The lifespan of the LNG project is expected to last between 30 and 40 years.
Agiru is also against introducing casino in PNG.
He said PNG had no Robert Murdoch and Kerry Packer.
He said casino would encourage corruption and prostitution.
I support Agiru’s call.
We need a government that is responsible.
PNG is blessed with natural resources and the government must protect our resources for the future generations.
