Agiru plans farewell to Southern Highlands
The National, Wednesday 21st November, 2012
HELA Governor Anderson Agiru will set a date to mark Hela’s separation from Southern Highlands.
The event will be in Mendi.
With everything that he had been through while being Southern Highlands governor, he felt a proper farewell was the right thing to do.
Agiru said even though he was in another province, he would still help Southern Highlands.
“I believe Governor William Powi will continue where I stopped and I will do my part too.
“The two provinces will still work side by side.”
Because Hela is a new province, Agiru and his three MPs were working hard to bring in basic services, adding that Hela had learnt from Southern Highlands’ mistakes.
Agiru said the two provinces needed to change their mindset and embrace change if they were to move forward.
