DESPITE two games remaining before the bemobile final race begins, competition pace-setters Agmark Guria have all but taken the minor premiership title ahead of rival Masta Mak Rangers.
The Guria are leading with 20 points while the Rangers are on 16 points.
Even if the East New Britain team loses the last two games, they have a superior for-and-against ratio than the Port Moresby-based franchise.
With 16 goal difference, it has put them in the impossible position to claim the minor title.
Toyota Mioks and Bintangor Lahanis will need a win to consolidate their position while fifth spot is up for grabs.
The bottom four teams, SBS Muruks, Civpac NCD Vipers, ACTL Bombers and Bintangor Eagles, all have the chance to sneak into the final series depending on their performances.
Muruks need a win to confirm their spot as they will play Agmark Guria in Lae, Morobe province, and also Bintangor Eagles in Mt Hagen.
They have a good chance against Eagles.
Former glamour team of yesteryears, the Vipers, will have a tough road to the final against Bintangor Lahanis in Port Moresby and their last game against Toyota Mioks in Wabag.
The Lae Bombers will play Bintangor Eagles in Madang and the following week they host Bintagor Lahanis.
It is likely that Eagles will play their remaining home games in Madang which should give them the chance for the final series.
This weekend, the Eagles will play Bombers in Madang and the following week, they will play Muruks
It should be interesting to see, how the teams fare in the remaining matches.
The points ladder stands as Guria 20, Rangers 16, Mioks 15, Lahanis 15, Muruks 9, Vipers 7, Bombers 7 and Eagles 7.
