AUSTRALIAN High Commission upset Datec 19-14 in the private company netball competition at the Rita Flynn courts on Sunday.
It was an even contest throughout but AHC made better use of their opportunities to lead 9-5 in the first half.
Sharp-shooter Rakara Raula and Kila Paril spearheaded the AHC attack but struggled against Datec’s tall defender Nancy Kapi.
In the second half, Datec shooters Rachel Kapi and Netanya Mulina managed only nine shots while AHC’s Raula maintained her accurate shooting alongside Mary Age who replaced Paril.
AHC defenders managed to limit Kapi and Mulina for the final outcome.
In the other matches, Bank South Pacific defeated Kenmore 26-16 and Westpac beat Brian Bell 22-5. Air Niugini forfeited STC Finance.
All teams were urged to pay their team registration fees by Dec 2. The penalty for non-registration will be deduction of points.
