Air Niugini customers to get trip reminders

AIR Niugini customers are now able to receive ‘trip reminder’ notifications on their mobile phones and email.
This follows the implementation of flight information messaging tool which went live last week.
The notifications remind customers of their upcoming trip at least 24 hours before departure.
Other notifications on flight updates, cancellations, delays and schedule changes will be rolled out progressively in the coming weeks.
Air Niugini’s general manager commercial services, Dominic Kaumu, pictured, said the Sabre custom message tool was convenient because it allowed the airline to communicate directly with customers through email and SMS.
“All valid mobile phone numbers and email addresses provided by the customer during booking will now receive a trip reminder, flight updates and other related information via text message or email,” Kaumu said.
“We have now started with the trip reminder. Once we roll out the messages on flight cancellations and delays, this will ensure convenience for our customers, who will not have to travel all the way to the
airport only to find out that there has been a change to their travel.”
Air Niugini, in partnership with Sabre Travel Technology, continues to improve its engagement with customers.
