Aircraft check complete
The National, Wednesday February 18th, 2015
AIR Niugini says a scheduled heavy maintenance check on one of its Boeing 767 aircraft is now complete.
Aircraft registration P2-PXV is due to arrive in Port Moresby tomorrow while the scheduled maintenance work on a B737 aircraft, P2-PXC is continuing. It was expected to be completed before the end of this week.
“Singapore and Hong Kong flights last week were disrupted due to another aircraft becoming unserviceable in Brisbane,” Air Niugini said in a statement.
“However with the return of the B767, the aircraft fleet has stabilised and schedule delivery will return to normal.
“Some domestic flights have been affected recently due to a combination of many factors, which included bad weather, systems outages and technical issues.”
