MEMBERS of Nambawan Super Ltd are now eligible to get a 30 per cent discount on their airfares when they fly with Travel Air.

This was made possible through a contract of agreement signed between Nambawan Super chief executive Garry Tunstall and Travel Air chief executive Emmanuel Bai Kadiko.

Nambawan Super chief operating officer Charlie Gilichibi said on Friday the discount would only be offered to members who had the superfund’s ID cards.

“There is a lot of value in this particular arrangement because as we all know in PNG cost of air travel is quite expensive.

“For members who do not have Nambawan Super ID card, they will have to go to a Nambawan Super branch to get a membership ID card so they can tap into the 30 per cent discount through Travel Air,” he said.

Gilichibi said 50,000 of their current 150,000 members had membership ID cards.

He added that Nambawan Super had 23 discount providers, including Travel Air.

Travel Air general manager ground operations Dennis Badua said: “The arrangement will boost our (Travel Air) market, especially for the Mangi Lo Ples.”

Tunstall added: “It is another way for our members to purchase tickets and save.”

Other areas under Nambawan Super’s discount programme include 15 per cent discount for current members and 45 per cent discount offered to retired savings account members by Air Niugini for other domestic and international flights, 20 per cent discount from Ela Medical Centre, 25 per cent discount from Funeral Home and 15 per cent offered by Brian Bell and Courts Super Stores.
