PNG Air has announced that Richard Tatut is the 2019 PNG airport manager of the Year.
Tatut, who is the Madang port manager, was awarded for his exceptional work ethic and commitment to improvement.
“In the time that Richard was appointed port manager in Madang, PNG Air saw significant improvements on time performance and an increase in customer satisfaction levels,” PNG Air chief operating officer Glenn Dunstan said.
“Richard has been consistently engaged, willing to learn and take ownership for everything that happens in his port.
“He has been an excellent role model for our staff and for the community in general.
“ He always tries to find a balance between customer service and the needs of the airline.” The award was made at the recent PNG Airport Managers Conference in Port Moresby.
The conference covered a wide range of topics aimed at improving the level of service from ports.
