Airline to resume flights today: Executive

PNG Air Ltd will commence domestic flights today, an official says.
Chief executive Paul Abbot told The National yesterday that the resumption of flights would be to only certain centres in the country.
“As per the directive from the state of emergency (SOE) controller, domestic services will not resume until tomorrow (today),” he said.
“The flights will be limited to the following ports including Mt Hagen, Lae, Madang and Port Moresby.”
The airline, in a notice, said all other ports in PNG would remain closed until further notice.
PNG Air noted that all operating flights must comply with Covid-19 hygiene restrictions and testing.
Passengers travelling would also be required to provide a statement for the purpose of their travel to avoid unnecessary travel during the SOE as advised by the Government.
