Airstrip agency dedicates operations, services to God

THE Rural Airstrip Agency (RAA) held a dedication service recently to commit its operations to God and the rural people of Papua New Guinea.
Held at the airstrip rehabilitator’s corporate office in Down Town, Port Moresby, management and staff gathered for what was a time of reflection.
During the service, Life in the Spirit Ministries founder Ps David Dii facilitated the service.
Ps Dii spoke about his experiences in rural areas prior to becoming a pastor.
He shared about how he had been a health extension officer in various rural parts of the country and how airstrips were the only hope that rural people had to receive basic services.
“There were times when severely ill patients would be in need of medevac services and at these times, seeing a plane to rural people was like seeing an angel,” he said.
He prayed for honesty, transparency and the removal of hindrances to RAA’s operations.
“I am deeply moved that such an organisation existed,” he said.
“I did not know that there was an agency dedicated to rural airstrips.
“I am greatly humbled to be with you and I shall hold you in my prayers in future.”
Ps Dii acknowledged the staff of RAA for the work they were doing for the rural masses and encouraged them to continue being the ‘voice for the voiceless’.
RAA acting chief executive officer Kimbi Perrymartin thanked Ps Dii for facilitating the dedication service and encouraged staff to remember there were people in the rural areas who believed in them.
