Aitsi joins Newcrest

PROMINENT Papua New Guinean Peter Aitsi has been appointed to fill the newly created role of country manager for Newcrest Mining Ltd to represent its interests in PNG.
Aitsi will take up the job in September.  He will manage the Newcrest corporate office teams in Port Moresby and Kavieng and  based in Port Moresby.
Newcrest chief executive officer Greg Robinson said Aitsi would be responsible for the company’s relationships with government, business and community leaders in PNG.
 “This is an important role to Newcrest and one which reflected our growing presence and confidence in Papua New Guinea,” he said.
