Albert boys help cause for women

 PENRITH Panthers brothers Wellington and Stanton Albert showed up at the Caritas Grils Technical Secondary School yesterdaay along with Mark Mom, the National Rugby League PNG in-country director to support se of women.

The pair, who flew up to Port Moresby with Steve Georgallis’ Panthers side for the pre-season fixture against the Hunters last Saturday, stayed on after the team returned to Sydney, to help promote various causes for the Australian government funded League Bilong Laif programme.

The pair met with Australia’s Ambassador for Women and Girls Natasah Stott Despoja, who is a former senator for South Australia, as well as school officials and students.

The League Bilong Laif programme is an initiative that promotes gender equality through sports. Ambassador Despoja is in Buka today for the opening of the Bougainville Women’s Federation office.
