All Dogs show in Popondetta

M4M Bulldogs sides have secured the grand final slots in the Popondetta Rugby League Nines tournament on Sunday.

The two teams were lucky to win or draw their three outstanding games to shoot up to the top of the ladder.

Their performance meant Sauga Warriors and Tigers have to be content with the minor challenge.

Bulldogs 2 comprising under-19 players surprised the competition to end up on the top with 30 points edging their first team on 29 and sees them unlikely contenders for the Governor Gary Juffa Cup. 

Tigers and Warriors battle it our for the shield.

Juffa allocated K10,000 for cash prizes and awards.

Juffa and other dignitaries are expected to attend the presentation.

Bulldogs sponsored by Northern Motel owner and former Sohe MP Peter Oresi will be in the province to witness the final. 

Oresi’s 16-year-old Genesis is also playing for the Bulldogs seconds. 

Sangi Raiders and Buna Cowboys dropped out of the race with 25 and 26 points respectively.
