Alleged killer returning to court

A MAN, who allegedly killed three family members and his babysitter, will return to court on Monday while his lawyer and the state prosecutor sort out some issues.
Mt Hagen National Court judge Regina Saku told Christopher Johnson Kamo, 39, from Kambaramba village in Angoram, East Sepik, that he should wait in custody until then.
Kamo appeared before Justice Saku yesterday, charged with four counts of wilful murder last May 6 and was told that the prosecutor and his lawyer needed more time to discuss some issues. According to police, Kamo committed the offence between 2pm and 5.30pm at Kim village, outside Mt Hagen city.
Kamo was living with his biological daughter Adonia Christopher, 2, his partner Silingu Lamu, her daughters Irene Narakau, 8, Genelyn Narakau, 6, and baby-sitter Maggie Geyocmata, 20.
Kamo sent Geyocmata out of the house then allegedly strangled Irene and Genelyn. He later hit their heads with a stone, killing them.
Kamo then called Geyocmata into the house and used a knife to kill her. Police also alleged that Kamo later left his daughter Adonia with another babysitter, who he paid K50. After that when Lamu returned home from work, police alleged that Kamo locked her inside and used a knife to kill her.

  • This incident happened some time ago. What happened for the long delay? From a layman’s view, Kamo committed a very serious offence, ie,. killing 4 people. This case should not drag on like this. The evidence is there.
Do PNGeans know how to do things quickly? Why do we fumble and do things very slowly? Did we want to be smart as one of our goals in the Vision 2050?

  • Cold blooded murderer – there should be no rightfully thinking lawyer representing him. Send him off to jail – he had all the intentions to kill another person/other people then it is enough to send him to jail – we’re just wasting the court’s precious time in dealing with other cases. And for goodness sake refrain from using the word “allege” – it is clear as daylight they were all murdered by him.

  • The actions of this one person is unspeakable, straight out from an “horror movie” or a Crime drama. Never crossed my mind a PNGean could do such a hideous crime. He deserves no mercy, guilty as hell and should be locked away in solitary confinement forever with keys thrown away.
The Dam prosecutor should get his acts together and get this case wrapped up ASAP, whats keeping him from presenting the case for sentencing? Families are still waiting for closure and we dont know what you doing holding up the process?

  • He should be sent to jail instead of wasting time on this murderer. What happened to our court system? This crime was committed some time ago and I thought it has been settled and dusted. This shows weaknesses in our Police work and the court system.
Such prolonged cases lead to more crimes and troubles.
Please get this murderer charged and jailed. He needs to be hanged.

  • The perpetrator is probably not in his right state of mind to commit such heinious crime without any regard whatsoever for human lives and especially given the fact that the victims were his own family members. His mental health should be checked.
No one has the right to take another person’s life, no matter what the circumstance is and in this case 4 people we’re brutally murdered.
Delay is not denial, let’s have faith in our justice system that justice will be served in due time.

  • Why going back to Court? The culprit has already taken 4 human lives. He is a murderer.
Government should just impose DEATH PENALTY so such acts shouldn’t happen again.

  • There’s no court system…simple…just hang him to death…straight forward no court business, waste of time and resources…

  • THIS TYPE OF PEOPLE DONT HAVE SPACE IN PNG . JUST IMPOSE DEATH PENALTY AND HAND HIM UP.

  • What kind of a lawyer would represent and defend a multiple murderer. The case is clear. Put him on death row. Such primitive retards don’t deserve to be alive.

  • Hang him or put him on firing squad…Enough is enough, let’s show we mean business when you take a life your life will be taken.

Life is precious so respect it.
