Alleged rapist in custody

A MAN charged with raping an under-aged girl appeared for mention at a Bomana Committal Court last Friday.
Lyod Isemba, 20 and from Siremi village in Northern, allegedly raped a child under the age of 12 on Feb 16, at the Air Transport Squadron Settlement at 7–Mile in Port Moresby.
Magistrate Cosmos Bidar said the case was mentioned on March 11 and a file was recently served to the defendant.
He said the court would allow time for Isemba, who is in custody at Bomana prison, to find a lawyer to file a bail application.
