Alotau comp into finals

CITY Pharmacy Ltd shocked reigning champions ABJ Jokers 36-29 in the Alotau women’s basketball elimination semi final on Sunday.
CPL were beaten by NCSL Stormers in the qualifying finals on Sunday but survived the do-or-die match against Jokers.
They now face Milne Bay Estate Rollers who lost to Stormers 33-32 in the major final.
The losers will bow out of the premiership campaign – like Jokers – and the winners to challenge Stormers in the grand final on Saturday.
In the men’s sudden death, Masurina Giants stopped Brothers and locked horns with MBE Rollers who lost to Fire Fox 55-43.
Fire Fox challenge minor premiers Guns in the grand final first berther.
The women’s preliminary final between CPL and Rollers is scheduled for Thursday while the men’s matchs is yet to be confirmed.
Association president Jack Osembo said the grand final is confirmed for Saturday 15 September
