Alumni encourages students not to give up on dreams

Education

STUDENTS who do not make it into other levels of education should not look down on themselves but do something worthwhile in their lives wherever they are.
Henimba Constructions Ltd managing-director Andreas Hombo made these remarks when he presented a lawn mower to Sembo Primary School in Numbo local level government, Yangoru Saussia, East Sepik.
“As former student of this school from 1986 to 1991, I feel that I should give back something to the school,” Hombo said.
“This mower is a small contribution and I want you students to go out there, be successful in life and come back and give something back to the school.
“In every steps of education, not everyone will continue on and for those who are not selected, there are many ways to make yourself successful in life.
“You should have a vision and aim in life to be successful.
“I dropped out of grade six but that doesn’t stop me from pursuing my dreams,” he told the graduating students.
Hombo said there was hope after someone failed in one part of life.
“I have a civil construction company and hire cars and you can be like me if you are dedicated and working towards your aim in life.
“Those who fail, don’t give up. Take this as a stepping stone, step up and move forward.”
