WHEN students sit examinations, they step up in their education and in the process parents and guardians are supporting them, a graduation session was told yesterday.

Speaking at the Grade 10 and 12 graduation of Bishop Leo Secondary School in East Sepik, Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare advised students to be always on top to harvest the best fruits.

He told the students that parents had invested a lot in them and wanted them to be productive, and if they wanted to become good leaders, they should have wide general knowledge.

“To do that, you must go to school to learn new things. As you go further, you will equip yourself with many new things that will help you lead the people,” Sir Michael said.

He made a commitment of K200,000 for the school’s new hall and made another commitment of K13,000 for the school library.
