THE St John Ambulance Service promoted 36 officers during its 59th anniversary celebration last Friday in Port Moresby.
The St John Day falls on June 24 every year.
The anniversary was commemorated with a parade by the St John Ambulance staff at their head office in 3-Mile.
Officers in the seven divisions of the organisation were recognised for their hard work and dedication.
Acting chief executive officer Mollen Molki said despite having a small number of staff, he was confident that they would move the organisation forward with the support of stakeholders and international partners.
Molki acknowledged the tireless efforts of staff members in upholding their oath with the organisation.
“I want to thank you all for the time and effort you dedicate to the service of the St John Ambulance in PNG.
“There are always people around to ensure that the operation is not disrupted 24/7. This to me is a true demonstration of discipline, order and value for the service you are entrusted with to deliver,” Molki said.
