Amet launches youth group

MADANG Governor Sir Arnold Amet launched a youth group, Saint Augustine Katolik Yot, based in Matugar village last Friday.
He said the group hadset an example on self- reliance for others to follow.
It already has an office which has been fitted with computers and printers bought with money raised from fund-raising activities, which included writing, typing and printing services.
The Catholic association plans to support community development to improve the people’s livelihood.
Sir Arnold assured the members of his support.
“I want you to be a model rural association which is self- reliant,” he said.
“The people should do things for themselves rather than wait for the Government to do things for them.”
